Depends if you don't mind feeling a bit Christmassy. I watched it a couple of weeks ago again - I love it - even though I hate all this early Christmas stuff.
Got a question for all you ultra prepared people - will be going to stay with relatives over Christmas so no food shopping/planning to do (mind you would probably be cheaper than all the money we'll spend on petrol - but anyhow....) but trying to think of other things I need to do and get - really don't like thinking this far ahead of Christmas but money will be a bit tight for me this year so I want to be prepared.
So no food needed and I found I had 45 Christmas cards, loads of gift tags and some wrapping paper from previous years. So I know I'll need some more wrapping paper and obviously presents but what else (if anything) do you normally buy for Christmas (we have a tree and decs for it and as we're in a rented place limited on how much we can decorate it anyway) - think I'm missing something but not sure whatInitial Mortgage January 2024 - £160,000

moggins wrote:Squeaky how do you make it 6 weeks? I've just counted on my calendar and I make it 9 weeks??
The reason it says "6 week countdown" is because it is an American site so the count down is to get everything ready by Thanksgiving so that you can spend more time celebrating and enjoying yourself instead of trying to do Thanksgiving AND get sorted for Christmas
I must say that since I've been doing this countdown (5th year this year) I have been so well organised I've not had to go Christmas shopping in December (except for food items) which is wonderful.Plus it gives me time to sit and watch Christmas films and enjoy putting the decs up and get ready for going away to IL's. This year I'll also have parent governor and school things as well _pale_
Creeping back in for accountability after falling off the wagon in 2016.Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!0 -

My favourite is Miracle on 34th Street, I love that film and I've still never seen It's a Wonderful Life yet, I taped it off the telly meaning to watch it later and then someone taped over it
I have 2 of the childrens birthdays in November so we have to get those over first but I have bought the presents already. DH has managed to do 50 hours overtime this month but he won't get it until the end of November so it looks like it will be a run around at the beginning of December job to buy everythingOrganised people are just too lazy to look for things
