Hi, can anyone tell me just how strict they really are about what you take in with you ? My daughter and friends are camping.. they were hoping to smuggle in some alcohol !!!! The prices for drinks there are ridiculous !
So if anyone has been and can advise then I'd be really grateful. thanks

I thought so, it says on the website they are very strict. Thanks to everyone for your comments. Her Dad and I will just have to give her some extra spending !! ( poor student !!!! )0

Can't they just nip out to a nearby bar (or supermarket) and come back in once they have been refreshed?0

I hate festivals for this reason. They confiscate anything you try to bring in and then charge you a ridiculous amount for alcohol on the venue. Last time I went I disguised my drinks as something else i.e. JD as Pepsi, Vodka as Water etc. As long as it is in a plastic bottle they will hopefully not care0

Hehe.. mate of mine, in Australia, snuck in a box of wine... took the bag out, and stored it down her top... They never check boobies!
Luckily we also had a coolbox with bottles of water in (actual water.. was a roasting hot day!)Credit card: [STRIKE]£2533.30[/STRIKE] £0 as of July '16!Overdraft: [STRIKE]£1700[/STRIKE]£0 as of July '16!Aim:Save for a working trip to New Zealand leaving late 2016/ early 2017!0 -
My housemate is going this year (not me, sob sob) and there is a tesco nearby she is planning on buying stuff from, and also nearby pubs. You can't back in though if you are too drunk!
I know of someone who stored bottles of alcohol under the seats of his car but I don't know how well that worked!0 -
