Weird ebay and internet problem? java?

Good morning, my pc is irritating me this morning.

I did a system restore this morning, but when i got the pc back on, i'm finding ebay in firefox has gone all weird , and a bit weird in IE. Generally, web pages look different!

I get this message in ebay, whilst only being able to view a weird text version of the page,
Note: We recently made changes to enable you to view eBay search pages faster. If your eBay pages are appearing in text-only format due to these changes, please upgrade your web browser.

I'm all upgraded with FF etc, I'm a bit worried i deleted somthing by mistake which has made everything go weird! I did use ccleaner this morning and wonder if I've messed up there. What have I done??

Also, when i click on gmail notifier, it won't load, I get a box which says
'The file/mail/?view+page&name=js&ver=1100d45ff312a91 cannot be found. Please check the location and try again.' I get this even if i try and go to gmail manually by typing the address.

If I try and reply to a thread from mse in FF the box doesn't load properly, it just stays so i can't type in it.
Gah!

Just try this, Pop in your XP disc or restore Disc unless you haven't got one and XP is on a partition on the hard drive......

If you do pop a disc in and it auto starts just stop it so your back to the desktop.

Now with disc in or not depending on the above.....

Start, Run, Type, sfc /scannow (take note of space between sfc and /)
this should now repair any damaged or missing files..

If you type this and are asked for a XP disc well you need it, so pop it in..

Oh yeah get the new java console...http://java.com/en/download/index.jsp
