Withdrawing funds from paypal?

Hope someone can advise me? I signed up with paypal to begin buying and have sold couple of items on ebay. So they have my bank account number plus the number of my debit card. This is my problem. Since I signed up I have had to replace my debit card so it has a new number. I went to try and "verify" the account, or whatever you call it where they send you a pin number and managed to mess that up, :o so they now are sending it to me in the post. I would like to get this money out of paypal into my bank account.

I also added another credit card for verification but am wondering if I will be able to transfer funds if the original debit card remains on file (hope this is making sense).

Is there a way of changing the number of the debit card? I cannot see anywhere I can get in touch with them to ask but appreciate I may be missing the obvious.:)

Can anyone help please and thank you in advance

AFAIK you don't need to verify your account to withdraw money - I opened a new account to get my quidco payments, and I was credited with the money, which i then withdrew (via BACS) a day later.... it's all sitting happily in my account now (or in the till at the pub!)

sorry... the advice - try just withdrawing it, see if it'll let u withdraw the money without 'verifying' your card...

It wont, it just says I have no authority to get the funds out and have to go through this process of getting the pin number blah blah....so annoying.

I had to upgrade to a premier account to get someones money who paid by credit card - now this, talk about a palaver!

This is sounding like a bit of a pain! Once your bank details have been set up, you will not need to update your debit card on file to make a withdrawal, as this can be paid directly into your bank account. I don't know if that was what you were getting at. If you need to update the expiry date on your card, then I'm sure you can do that as I must have done it more than once, but I can't remember how. If you need to change the card number, you may need to register it as a new one.

You only need a basic paypal account to receive money from quidco. (If you had a premier/business account, you would have to pay a fee to paypal to receive the money, so it's best not to use these type of account for anything other than selling purposes.)

I can't vouch for quidco personally, as I haven't used it, but many people do and I've not heard many complaints.

aj2001 There is a whole thread about Quidco over on the Referral board you might find of interest.

However, as masonic says to receive payments from Quidco you need just the basic account as they use echeques, so you won't be charged on a basic account.

I had my first payment from them last month and it took about 12 working days to clear, which is about right for an echeque, and a further 5 working days to then transfer to my bank account, which again is quite right for paypal.

Your basic account will also do nicely as a buyer on ebay, but you will probably need to upgrade to a premier account if you ever decide to sell on ebay.

Just to add to Soo's comments, it is perfectly ok to have one premier account for selling, and one basic account for receiving other payments.

Thanks for that. I am now wondering if the card is the reason I cannot transfer the money. It just says I am authorised to withdraw or transfer $0.00 funds, then if I try, takes me to this verification process including a phone call with a pin no. etc (as said previously they are now sending pin as I was on phone attatched to wall and could not see the pin number that had come on screen, so it was aborted and they had to post it :o  :D

I shall have a look now and see if there is somewhere I can change my card details. They now have a credit card, my bank account number etc. surely thats enough for me to get MY money
