This is clearly an independant retailer! Why would you want to try and bleed them dry? Go after the big boys!

If you get them then well done
I agree! Let's hope the person behind this website loses so much he won't be able to buy his kids Christmas presents this year. That'll teach him for messing with MSErs when they put their consumer rights hats on.
Personally I would NEVER take part in something like this - the Argos thing was a bit of fun, but this one isn't. Besides how are you going to argue your rights to get these? It's not like you can claim they took your money so they have to deliver is it?
Time to move on to something else I think.

neither would I. There's taking advantage and then there's taking to the cleaners. This one is the latter. Not fair and not pretty.

I think the mods should delete the thread before any more damage is done to this small outfit.

Would be completely immorral to take advantage of this.

I've e-mailed the site to inform them.
  • Nice posts from the moral folk among us.I too run my own business and try and look after customers with an honest deal.I agree with the Tesco misprice advantages as i really believe they have no morals. It has been shown in print and on TV just what they think of their customers and so deserve all they get.

It is not fair to rip off a one man or small company but no doubt some muppets have ordered 20 of each so they can sell on e bay,not fair !!! iis it ?
    Onwards and Upwards ;)

    Consumer revenge.
That's the whole point of the site.

    Consumer revenge.
That's the whole point of the site.

The point of this site is NOT to rip off small, independent companies for whom every penny counts in the 'paying the bills' stakes. It is aimed at hints and tips for saving money in many aspects of life, and for taking advantage of the loopholes that large companies haven't closed up: in other words, those companies who don't have to worry about not being able to pay their staff, the mortgage, feed their children, etc, if - for example - 20 people exploit a loophole that costs the company £50 a time.

Consumer revenge can be a wonderful thing, but what possible reason could you have for wanting to see a small business suffer?

For me, this site is about having somewhere informative (and free!) to discuss money issues, ask for help and advice, share our many bargain finds and have a giggle with other MSE'ers.

Now, could someone please put a mattress down so that I'll have a soft landing when I climb off my high horse? :p
