The end of Tesco Clubcard Vouchers?

  • I very much doubt this will happen - There might indeed be changes to the scheme but the chance of it coming to an end are highly unlikely (In my opinion!)

Tesco realise the power of Clubcard and Deals and the extra custom/ Loyalty (Call it what you will) that such a scheme generates. As for getting rid of airmiles i too doubt this will happen whilst Tesco seem not to actively promote Airmiles giving it up will mean Nectar will be waiting in the wings to snap it up and Tesco certainly don't want that to happen.

As for a reduction in "bonus points" coupons till spits for extra points are still coming thick and fast and at the moment ANYONE who makes a photo processing purchase and uses their Clubcard automatically gets a till spit for 300 points on a £15 photo processing spend!

    Hhhhmmmm very interesting.

I've been wanting to get a new clubcard and have been trying to get ahold of an application for over a month now at my local store. Funny how they seem to have ran out and still haven't got any forms in. So I tried calling them and got passed around from pillar to post but in summary Tesco's response was that I should just wait until the store has them in.

Could it be that they've withdrawn all applications for new clubcards?

People were casting doubt on the poster, his trustworthiness, and the reasoning behind such a decision.

When they 're-launched' Clubcard in May and sent new cards out to everyone they also changed the design of the instore application forms and the ordering number hence some stores running out.

Tesco are currently taking full page adverts out in the national press telling customers that we are cheaper than Asda and making a HUGE point of stating that if you use your Clubcard you also save even more - Hardly the actions of a company about to withdraw/ alter the scheme!

Can a Tesco clubcard person help me out!!? - probably not the right place, but I get confused!!
Basically, I have been after a clubcard before because do quite a lot of shopping and filling up of petrol. On their forms before it always said minimum age of 18, but picking up the form in Tescos last week it never stated a minimum age, so I scanned the temporary card through with my shopping, getting 100 clubcard points and went to register on the net later. Nowhere around the D.O.B box did it say about a minimum age, so I put in my birthday. It is now failing to recognise my card number or anything on there, so do you think they cancelled it because I was 17?
It doesn't make sense as to why I can't have one if it is age related! - I spend around £80 a week in Tescos!

Go back on and change your dob to read that you are 18 :j To be honest no one will ever tackle you on your age and you having a club card, there is probably some politics to it but dont worry just tell a little fib about your age and hey presto you will have a valid card :T :T
  • In a meeting held this morning at New Tesco House in Cheshunt (Tesco Head Office) it has been announced that the Tesco Clubcard Deals scheme may be abolished at the end of August as it is no longer financially viable.

Tim Mason (Clubcard Director) advised that it would be best not to make any announcement to the public as there may be a sudden rush in deals applications and they would get overwhelmed.

If the plan goes ahead the consumers will still be able to collect points but will only be able to use them instore, therefore missing out on 4x value on

Deals. Airmiles would also be cancelled. This has been due to slowly decreasing profits for Tesco PLC.

    'Slowly decreasing profits for Tesco'

What a joke!! How many billions was it last year!!!!
