Hi,
Yeah my OH parents think im odd to! Well we done it, it wasnt nice though, we got home, found him a little space in the garden and then I had to carrying outside - he was so cold, his eyes had shut, and he looked peaceful. Unfortunatly I wasnt able to get to the garden centre in time and therefor he hasnt got a plant yet - he has some temporary flowers.
I feel alot better now its done because I have been able to say bye but on the other hand I really know that its happened now.
Thanks again for the chat - made it alot easier

:grouphug: Big hugs for you :grouphug: I felt heart broken as I burried Pug. It is a normal reaction and if we didn't get upset then I think that would be worrying.
I am sure you will find a lovely plant to help remember him by and just let yourself grieve as much as you need to.Debt Free - done

I'm so sorry to hear about your hamster and I just wanted to reiterate about te types of toys you give a hamster as 2 of mine also broke legs on toys, one had to be put to sleep and one survived but was lame.
Keep an eye on you remaining hamster, dwarf hamsters can pine if they are used to being kept together, give him lots of attention and little treats.
Do think about getting a plant or minature tree to remember your little chap by, always looks nice and you always will smile when you look at it.
Take care,

Sorry to hear that dexters_mum. Well we have removed that horrible tube that caused it and the only other toys in there is the wheel at the top with Freddie is on ALL night bless him and we have put a toilet roll in there aswell for him to run through - he loves it.
I was watching Freddie yesterday and he looked so lost - he was looking around for Charlie and it was heartbreaking to watch, we are giving him losts of attention but he still seems to just be looking for Charlie
I dont know whether to get another too keep him company - obviously bearing in mind that they may not get on with eachother, but the thing is, when we bought these 2, there was 3 and that other one is still there so it could be ok as they are long lost brothers!
I just dont want him to be lonely as I couldnt bear to lose him aswell, what do you recon?
ThanksxXx0 -
I'd keep an eye on him for a few more days, to see if he perks up, the last thing you want to do is to get another hammy then find out Freddie doesn't get on with him.
If he is genuinely still looking lost in a few days, have a think about it seriously then,, if you feel it is right, go ahead.£2 Coin Savers Club (Christmas)- £86£1 Jar (Christmas)- £29Christmas Vouchers Saved: £1450
