I need a free puncture repair on my car tyre

I was surprised to find the Kwick fit wanted about £17 to fix one - the cheapesat I found was £13, but in the end they condemed the tyre so it's going to cost me about £100 if I ever find one, but that's another story.0

I doubt you'll find a free repair but your best off going to a small local tyre place who will only charge you a few pounds for it and are less likelyto try to con you into a new tyre, brake repairs and a new set of shock absorbers too0

I use the local Rapidfit ( not to be confused with Quckfit) which I think may be part of the Ford chain. Always go there as and when I need new tyres and took sons old Metro there for an exhaust. When I had a flat tyre due to a nail I went back and they repaired it and when I asked how much was told 'No charge- you'll be coming back to us when you next need new tyres won't you?'
Well what do you think??!! It sometimes does pay to use local and be a 'regular', and remember this was at a large chain place and not a small independant; so start with your new tyre.0 -
Try Formula 1, they offer free puncture repair on tyres they sell. Before I started to buy from them (they will beat any local price on supply) offered free repair on tyre not purchased from them.0

I had a puncture on my tyre about 3 months ago and took it to my local Kwik-fit and they fixed it for free!!! I think that it is done at their discretion though.....it helped that they knew I had overheard the manager giving a freebie puncture repair to the bloke served before me. Gave him a couple of quid for a drink anyway. He was well chuffed.0

Just to add, not sure if it is a good idea or not: It might be better not to ask how much it is going to cost before asking for a repair!! If you ask and they say £15, they are unlikely to backtrack and therefore you are unlikely to get a freebie. However, you might just be lucky and get a freebie if they are feeling generous. Worst comes to worst, you just pay the standard price.0
