Hi I have a lovely Ercol Pebble table bought from a charity shop for £3. I would love to refurbish it as it has stains - I think from greasy curry but is otherwise in good nick - joints solid as is wood. Pic here

Can anyone recommend the best way to refurb it cheaply? I can get Teak oil for about £2.50 and linsed oil for about £2 and a Cuprinol wood varnish for about the same.
Should I use any of these? Or should I be using wax? I am NOT painting it so techniques on cleaning up and emphasising the natural wood will be much help.
Thanks in advance.
