Re complaining to Boots about not getting trials, others getting loads etc, I would refer back to one of the previous posts (hope slinkydreamer doesn't mind me quoting her):slinkydreamer wrote: »Just a quick note re contacting Boots re lack of tests and others getting multiple products simultaneously - understand and second the frustration, but be careful as we are probably not meant to be discussing our trials with others, much like with Ayton and other where we tick a form stating that we won't discuss our trials on forums etc. Could end up opening a can of worms...
I personally do not think people are bragging on here -I find it interesting to see what other people have been offered. Although I am sometimes envious of the fab stuff some people get that I don't, I wouldn't risk everyone losing out by drawing Boots' attention to the forum. I agree, the first 65 thing doesn't seem to be true but it could be something in people's profiles (age, skin type, even location in the country) that means they aren't offered all trials. Plus, if you don't log in at the right time then you may have been offered things that you didn't see before they disappeared (this has happened to me often).
Just my opinion, please don't shoot me down in flames0 -
I've just logged into my account to see if there is anything to test, as usual there is nothing - there's been absolutely nothing to even register for for months now.
I just looked at the 'My Trials' page and it actually has five products from August and September last year down as 'completed'. What does this mean? Does this mean they think they sent the products to me? Because they didn't - I find it highly unlikely that all four, on different dates, went missing in the post!
(I know that registering for a product doesn't mean you'll get to test it, just that you're interested - I must have registered for at least thirty things, back when they used to bother asking me.)
Could this be the reason they're not inviting me to test anything these days - because they think they sent me five products that I 'didn't bother' to review for them?! Or does 'completed' mean something else and I'm just unlucky?0 -
Received the shower gel (smells a bit odd, nice big bottle though) and some grey (which is nearly black) eye shadow today0

im very grateful to people posting on here what is showing as I would miss out sometimes. it actually shows the kindness of mse users who do so as they can miss out on the trials if they get allocated to others. I am a frequent poster and feel that myself and others are not boasting but just discussing and sharing are views of the item. Its nothing to do with entitlement but how Boots allocate stuff. There have been months when I have had nothing or perhaps I haven't logged on at the correct time and the trials have been taken. Its not the mse users fault, I'm sure there are people who do not use mse trialling for boots to. On my trials page I have quite alot of stuff I didn't get in the end but thats the luck of the draw.
This msg is my personal opinion, thats all.
I hope everybody gets a chance to trial something, thats why if something is showing up on mine I come on here asap to share it with others.0 -

Completed just means the trial has been finished and doesnt mean you necessarily had been sent the items.I’m a Senior Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Competitions Time, Shopping & Freebies boards, Employment, Jobseeking & Training boards If you need any help on these boards, do let me know.
