To those who still use Norton, well they have no idea
Nowdays more people are connected to the internet and do not know the essentials about spyware and virus protection.
I used Norton years ago and stopped using it as it is a system hog and simply put, useless protection.
Bitdefender is top notch and as far as spyware goes get yourself Xoftspy, both work wonders. :T

Rex_Mundi,
Your stuff on Xoftspy. "If you use XoftSpy, make sure you are using version 4.0 The versions before this were listed on the Spyware Warrior rogue antispyware list". I have been using 4.16 version and for the moment have uninstalled it.Will read through your link about spyware.
The point is that the recommendation for this product came from the website,computerhope.com who see themselves as helping newbies like myself.
Thanks for your post. tweeterPeel back your baby's eyelid to find no nationality or religious identity mark there. Peer at your baby's eyes for them to reflect back just people-throw away your flags and religious symbols...0 -

If your version started with a 3 (or less). Then you may have some cause for concern. Your version is one of the 4. versions. You should be OK with this one.
This program was listed on the rogue antispyware list, but was taken off it when the company cleaned up its act, and brought out version 4.
It's always better if possible to download programs straight from the makers. It seems that some affiliates were causing problems with this program that caused it to be listed as rogue. How many surrealists does it take to change a lightbulb?
