Stop the interest on my Credit Card

I have stopped my credit cards and now i am paying back what i owe on them, is there a way i can ask the bank to actually stop the interest so i just pay back the money i owe as i am no longer using the card. .....please help.

They have been known to freeze interest on a temporary basis if you are struggling, but you will have to speak with them and be able to demonstrate your cashflow problem.
This is usually only done for a set period of time to allow customers to get back on their feet. If you think it is going to be a longer term problem, then you may need to discuss a repayment plan with them.
