I’m ignoring that fact that your buyer is trying it on and answering generally about bank transfers.Feline2001 wrote: »Doesnt that mean giving them my bank details though?
Accepting a direct bank transfer does require you to give out details of your bank account but this is reasonably safe.
You only give them the details that are on every cheque that you yourself write. Accepting a bank transfer exposes you to no more risk than issuing a cheque.
It is cheaper and far less risky than accepting Paypal and should be the preferred choice for Ebay sellers.
I love buyers who want to pay by bank transfer. They take all the risk. I get my money quickly without paying commission and they can’t do a chargeback.0
