Hi Everyone I am really concerned on the whereabouts of my parcel? i came home from work this evening to fine a card posted through my letterbox saying my parcel has been left by my gate?
When i went to look nothing was there, I tried to phone Parcel force but they shut at 7PM so I am getting very stressed with waiting till the morning to contact them.
Me and my partner do alot of online shopping and we had 2 items that were due to be delivered this week. One was a gas bbq and the other a patio heater. I have checked on the retailers sites and it seems it wil be the patio heater that would be delivered by parcel force.
But surely an item of that size should not of been left on my doorstep?. I am the end house of an estate with a main road next to and an alley way across! What happens now? Please help.

Relax and calm down.
Have you checked with your nieghbours? how about the back door? Or back gate? Was it wrote on the card that it had been left or just a tick in a box? maybe they ticked the wrong box.
You also posted this in the refer forum so may get moved.
I wouldn't worry too much, ring them tomorrow morning - and if they have left it and its been stolen then you would probally have to contact the police and am sure parcel force would be liable in some form.0 -
The carrier would be liable.
I've claimed loads like this because they have left stuff out in the rain, and it's been damaged. I was covered as I explicitly stated where it should be left so as to avoid the elements.
If the carrier dumps it on your door step, it has not been delivered. They should really take it back to base, and then rearrange for a mutual convenient time to re-deliver it, but that costs them money, so they tend to leave it and usually get away with it. If it's been stolen then it's due to them not securely delivering it.

similar thing happened to my sons partner at christmas. she ordered stuff off of a shopping channel for the little girl for christmas - bike, dolls, loads of stuff and the card they left said that they had left it behind the dustbin. well someone else along the road probably had a very nice christmas because none of it was there!!! carrier has to pay.xxx0

If you have not signed for the item then technically it has not been delivered, which means it is the retailers responsibility. If you have to ring them try not to be fobbed off by them saying contact PF. It is their responsibility to contact PF, they hold the contract with PF for the delivery, you hold a contract with the retailer.0

This happened to my father with a plasma tv. Driver even had a signed ticket.
Problem was, my father's name was spelt wrong. Parcel force said they were launching a full enquiry, they refunded the supplier (I think) he sent another one.0 -
this happened to me 3 days before my wedding - my father and brothers kilts were delivered in a massive box left outside a communal flat hallway, it went missing - luckily my next door neighbour saw some ahem neds, hanging around and kindly took it in, if it wasn't for her i'd have lost hundreds and 3 days before my wedding ARGH! x

depends on if the parcel was a "no signature required/leave safe" which means courier can leave it anywhere0
-
contract is between you and the retailer, if part of that is for them to deliver the goods to you then until they have, they haven't fulfilled the contract.0

What happened with this? I have just had the same problem?0
