I'm glad you're looking at the experience so positively... So what do you have planned for "the day"?skint_spice wrote: »p.s. check me with the double quotes again!!!

ermm... nothing! I think I might get my hair done if I'm not too busy to have the day off but it's a really busy time of year at work so will need to see how that goes. I think DS will be at his dad's and I don't want to rub pals' noses in it by celebrating (they all seem to be struggling at the mo) so if I do go out I can't say why I have such an enormous grin on my face.:o Will take DS out for dinner on the sunday though!:beer:Mortgage OP 2025 £6250/7000Mortgage OP 2024 £7700/7000

Have they been supportive?
At first I didn't tell them cos I was too embarassed, now I don't want to tell them cos I'm too embarassed that I seem to be doing so much better than them! They know I owe on the car and they are amazed that I will have paid it off in a year but they don't know about the rest. of my closest friends - one is going through redundancy, one has failing business, another is constantly struggling to keep her head above water and another has had to take a pay cut. Needless to say most nights out over the last year have been pretty low key and we've all been happy with a catch up, some drinks etc rather than the posh meals out we used to favour. Only person who knows the truth is the "friend" who doesn't want a relationship and so might tell him but haven't seen much of him since....supposed to be going out soon though.:rolleyes:Shame you don't have a garden - you could plant a tree...
I do have a garden actually - with trees and everything! but remember the main point of the exercise is to get out of this place...beanielou wrote:Will you have a new debt free diary?

Verging into triple quote here!
1. No, but might have a MFW one some day.
2. Every other weekend and usually half of most holidays.
3. Actually his dad and I have already talked about this as his ego is able to accept the fact that he won't always be the most important person in his son's life! we're just going to have to see how it goes - would be easier if we lived in same town so DS could use his dad's as a base and still see his pals but that won't work. I take it you are already at this point?! any words of wisdom?Mortgage OP 2025 £6250/7000Mortgage OP 2024 £7700/7000
