Painting a range cooker??

HI,

When we bought our new house the previous owner left a Rangemaster cooker that fits the kitchen really well but it's green in colour and we just ordered a plum kitchen so it's going to clash.

I was wondering if it was possible to paint the doors another colour? I check on google but can't find any special paint. Do you reckon that I could use some paint that you can use on radiators as it gets hot.

Any recommendation welcome.

Thanks

Hi,we had the door fronts of our range cooker powder coated (was green, now black, we could have had any colour we wanted, but DH wouldn't go for Barbie pink !) It didn't cost us anything as we knew somebody who worked there, but it would have been about £35. look in yellow pages under "powder coating" for a firm locally.
Also depending in the make of your oven you can buy replacement door fronts - these weren't too expensive either.

    Hope this helps.
    ps the oven looks fab

you can buy rangemaster replacement door panels from www.rangemaster-spares.co.uk. They are about £23 for a large door panel.
Also, they are dead easy to replace - the outer door fronts just unscrew !

Thank you for that. I'll definatly have a look at having them painted or replaced. For the price I might as well.

On another note one of the oven door doesn't close very well, what kind of tradesman could help with that?? I am a bit useless with all these stuff.

    Thanks
