managing the bills online
Options
we're currently with atlantic for our gas & leccy and have been with them for a few years. part of the reason we picked these guys was because we could submit our meter readings online, and within 2-3 working days they would email a new bill via email in a pdf format
apparantly they no longer do this and it's somewhat worrying to think that we are billed half yearly with the energy rises which we're all experiencing
does anyone know of any companies where we can run our account online in the same way that we once did with atlantic?

Npower does, and I'm sure others do.
with Npower they just send you an E-mail saying your bills ready to view.
You then logon and view it. - they keep 2 years worth available on-line. These are opened in PDF format - but they don't actually send you it, which I think is a good thing.
Can pay it on-line and submit meter readings on line.
I personally pay direct from my bank - but not direct Debits, they always seem to take far too much...funny that or perhaps expected!

looking at switching over to e-on who i believe are the new name for npower
when you submit a reading meter online do they then produce a new bill online or do you have to wait until the normal billing cycle?
ive checked my emails with atlantic and they only emailed me to say my bills were ready and then they are all there online and can be downloaded in the format of a pdf file
its just this bill thing that's bugging me with atlantic, i dont want to change to e-on for instance if i go online once every say 2-3 months to check if im in debit or credit, only to be told to wait another 6 months for my bill (which is why i get atm)
anyone know how they operate? have just tried ringing them but lines only open 8-80 -
I'm using online billing with British Gas, and although they don't always produce a new bill every time I put my meter readings in (at least once a month - as I update imeasure weekly I sometimes do BG as well, as I get to see the graph go (mostly) down!), it does tell me pretty much straight away how much credit or debit there is on the account and gives me a history showing consumption based on my readings, past estimates and meter reader readings. To be honest, as its online billing, as long as I know whether and by how much I'm in credit or debit the actual bill itself isn't such a big deal!0

You can submit your readings online with e-on (who used to be Powergen, not NPower), but you will only get an actual bill every three months.
You can however, see by how much your account is in debit or credit straightaway and all he other things that greenbee has mentioned.(AKA HRH_MUngo)

thats excellent 7dayweekend, every 3 months is twice as good as we currently get and if we'll be able to instantly see how much we're up or down by then that's even better0
