Low cost airlines usually get more expensive closer to the date of travel. I would definitely not leave it less than fourteen days before travel.Gone ... or have I?0

I would say sooner rather than later (if you can afford it).
We booked our flights for this Thursday 24th from Luton to Bordeaux with EasyJet in March 08 for £70 return each. I've just had a look for the same flight and it's up to £152 each!!!!Jo x:A0 -
i booked flights to rome for next week in march, to book them now thay have doubled in price0

book now without doubt, during peak season the price game is more predictable, it goes up almost all the time as the date gets nearer, even in winter just 2 weeks to go would be too late in my opinion to hold out gambling for a better deal0

I agree with all the above BUT I booked flights to Spain at the beginning of June assuming they would only get more expensive nearer the date of travel in august and when I looked a week later similar though not exactly the same dates had actually gone down! In fact there were some flights for 0p on special offer. As I had only flown once before with ryanair I had assumed they would never go down in school holidays. but as has been said previously this close to departure I would book now0

i can concur ...i saw for the first time that easyjet had a sale for may/june (including whit week) where for booking just a week or so before ,the prices had dropped dramatically from those you would have got previously (including the minute they came out).
i've never seen them do that before and wouldn't rely on them to do it again.
it could be that bookings were just so poor at that time.
i expect next year that the LCC will cut their schedules so you may have to get in extremely early0 -
Easyjet have a price promise that if your flight prices go down you can ring them and get a credit note to be used on future prices.
It is on the website somewhere.
Any easyJet passenger who has made a booking and subsequently finds that lower fares (when taken together with all applicable charges) for the same easyJet flight have become available will be refunded the difference as a credit against future flights on easyJet. The only exception to this is if the lower fares are part of a promotional offer. Please note that each Journey will be treated separately. This credit will be valid for use against bookings made within 6 months from the date of issue. It will expire at midnight on the expiry date and the validity of the credit file cannot be extended.
To qualify for a refund the fare must be still available for sale and must be for the same date, destination, and flight number.
The main exclusion being Promotional offers are not included.I beep for Robins - Beep Beep

ben unfortunately easyjet seem to regard any drop in price as a promotion.
it wasn't like that until a couple of years ago . it's like banging your head against a wall dealing with their price promise0
