I just rang and got mine as no co-op near me. They confirmed it straight away and then sent the acc number ect through the post about 7 days later.

My Wife and I set up our co-op accounts prior to our BR, direct debits stayed the same. On the day of our BR we contacted the OR and explained about the accounts- the OR comment was - " I have no interest in the co-op account" and so both have run unaffected by our BR. Hope this helps!

    Hi,
I just wanted to add, my OR told me he had no interest in my account, I called the bank the day of my bankruptcy to notify them, they said it was fine no changes all fine and dandy. Fast forward 8 weeks later and I had a letter from the bank telling me that my account had been frozen and all direct debits cancelled as they had heard from the OR. He had assumed my bank account was surplus to requirements as I already "had access to a bank account" and had declared that on his first contact with me. Actually what I had said is that my wages had been paid into my partner's account as an interim measure and if he had no interest in the account I would rearrange for my salary to be paid back into my own bank account. To cut a long story short, what I wished I had done is just opened a new Co-op account.
