current account

ive got quite a lot of ccjs and i need to get a curret account with a bank card now i know this is virtually impossible but ive seen on the web where you can a pay a fee and they can set a current account account or buisness account up for you ( what id like to know is this a con or genuine) thanks for the help in advance.john

This is a con. Any bank or building society that follows the Banking Code (i.e. most of them), will offer you a Basic Bank Account if they have them. This type of account will give you an account with no credit (i.e. overdrafts), but will have cash machine cards so that you can get your money out. If they don't offer you one, ask for it (some times they try not to offer these as they make little money out of them).

Is this what you mean by a Bank Card? If not, let us know.

thanks for the reply cheque garrantee card was what i meant to say i got the problem i need a buisness account because i soon to become self employed and help appreciated

are your ccj's now paid? - if they are, when the Banks etc. do a credit reference search this should show 'satisfied' against them and you MAY get a standard servicecard(cheque guarantee card) but if you haven't settled these debts then you will only get a basic account with a cash machine withdrawal card
