Midland Mainline More scheme

Hope no-one's posted about this before, but if you travel regularly with Midland Mainline it's worth joining their More scheme - it's not very well publicised on the website. There are two schemes depending when you travel - Business or Leisure. To stay in the scheme you have to book at least one journey through their website every six months.

With the Business scheme you get £19 first class return to London at the weekend, and can take up to 3 adults and 3 children with you for the same price. You also get 15% discount at the buffet car, and here's the best one, once you have booked 8 open return trips to London with them (I travel regularly there for work so work pays although it's bloody expensive!) you get a pass which entitles you to free weekend travel on Midland Mainline for the rest of the year! So that means free weekend trips from Sheffield to York, London, Derby, Leicester etc, they even do a train to Scarborough on Saturdays. Plus you can also send off 5 open return tickets and get 2 free weekend return tickets to London.

There is also  a Leisure scheme, which entitles you to the buffet car discount, a first class upgrade and hotel discounts I think, don't know much about it as you can only join one scheme.

Also recently I received an offer from Midland Mainline to complete some more details about myself on the site (travel preferences etc) and they will send me a free first class weekend return to London. ;D
