Claiming bankruptcy- can i move abroad?

Hi people...ive got in touch with one of the charity helplines today think it was cccs and they hve set me up with a consellor meeting on the 12.08.2008.
I was in touch with Debt Free Direct, where do they lie within the scale of claiming bankruptcy?
Say for example if i went to the courts and they asked who i spke to and i said Debt Free Direct...would they turn me away?
