I ordered one an hour ago and have just received my confirmation email, I noted it states at the end of the email...

"Please note that all orders are subject to stock availability. We will email you again regarding the status of your order."

Obviously covering themselves!

Sounds to me like the live stock and postcode checker software was switched off when they all clocked off today so it will accept orders for everyone but none of us will get anything.

Thought it might be genuine at 1st seeing as it's an older model and Dixons are trying to fill their stores with more expensive Plasmas and LCD's but now seeing how many people have ordered on this forum and on others then there is next to no chance at all of anyone getting one.

Praying that i'm wrong

no contract will exist until a third email has been sent out confirming the order, so we all have to wait for that, all prior email are not worth anything, legally we have no chance of anything until a third email.......

just ordered 2 one for me and the other for a family member.

will probably get an out of stock cancellation e-mail though?

Contracts only legally binding on dispatch of goods.

I tried my luck again this evening and it accepted both my and my Mums postcodes. It did go through, no email yet but a confirmation number. I read the last couple of pages on here, if I get even 1 Tv out of this I will be very surprised but worth a shot. Neither one of us has a widescreen yet!
