Hi
We currently have our 17 month old daughter in a private day nursery, and have been told that when she is 3 she can move to a state nursery, or stay where she is, and the government will subsidise part of the nursery fees if we chhose to keep her in a private nursery.
Is this correct? And if so how much is it likely to be?
The nursery is early years 2, in brierley hill, west midlands
We currently pay £108.00 per week in fees
We are both working full time earning a joint income of £32k
thanks
baron

Currently, you get £138 a month off private nursery fees in the term after your child turns 3. Ask the staff at the nursery, who should know about it.0

It's i think £8.35 a session, @ 5 sessions per week it's only for 38 weeks of the year though.
The nursery she is at will sort it all out for you (well mine did)
Basically the funding stops in the 6 weeks school holidays, half term, xmas break, easter break.
So some months the funding will be less.
Oh and also if your child doesnt attend the nursery 5 days a week they can use the funding for 2 sessions over 5 hours in one day (if that makes sense!):j Baby boy Number 2, arrived 12th April 2009!:j0
