Condensation on wooden double glazed window

Hi Folks,

The windows in our house are double glazed but the frames are soft wood. Windows are almost 5 1/2 years old and were put in when the house was built. The window in our bedroom seemd to get alot of condensation on the inside during the colder months.

Is this normal? as i thought you shouldnt get this with double glazed windows.
Is it because the frames are wooden?

Also have the air vents at the top of the frame which we keep open all the time.

Any help please guys

Double glazing does not stop condensation and the wooden windows are not causing it. It's occuring in your bedroom because you spend so much time in there breathing. It's good to read that you have the trickle vents open, as these help, but it sounds like this is not enough. Unless you want to stop breathing, you need more ventilation into the room.
