Barclays Credit Card with Balance transfer

Hi all,
I have just received my Barclays Credit Card with 14 months 0% balance transfer deal. I have checked with them and it's confirmed that it is not possible to transfer the balance to current account :( is there any work around for this? (Like transfering the balance to my Halifax credit card and withdraw cash?)

Thanks
B

Don't withdraw cash on your Halifax card, you will pay dearly if you do.

Have you got Egg Money ?

If not have you got any friends or family members with Egg Money who would be happy for you to transfer the balance to their card on a temporary basis - could always offer to buy them a beer for their help
  • So you can withdraw money from your egg credit card?

Egg will allow you to transfer an overdraft to Egg card, (in other words, transfer cash from the credit card to your current account), at your standard balance transfer rate.
Unless you're handed a special promotion interest rate, no BT fee is charged.

Alternatively, you can use Egg Money (not to be confused with the Egg card) in conjunction with a 0% or low-rate balance transfer card, such as your new Barclaycard.

Egg Money (not to be confused with standard Egg) is designed to be put into credit which is what would happen by transferring funds from Barclaycard, and you can then either withdraw the funds as cash with no fee or ask them to transfer the funds direct to your Bank Account, again with no fee.
