Hmm... cheap... london.. car park... i'm sure those words don't belong in the same sentence..

However, I can recommend a car park I park at, which is in St Johns Wood. Conveniently located out of the congestion charge zone, and a 1 minute walk from the tube station, which is on the Jubilee Line, so you'll be in central london in about 10 minutes..

for 24 hours it is £20.

It is about a 10 - 15 minute drive from J1 of the M1... i come from the north so it is easy for me to use!

Check with the hotel you are staying at as I have stayed in Picadilly and the hotel told me it is free to park after 6pm until 8am which could save you some dosh!

thanks but the problem I have is the hotel is central London so will have to pay the congestion charge £20 is good enough although does that mean if I enter the carpark at 9am and leave at 10am I pay £25?

the congestion charge is £8 per day, monday - friday, 6am - 6pm.. if you're arriving on the friday, after 6pm there isn't anything to pay.

On Street parking is normally free from 6pm - 8am or 5pm - 8.30am depending where abouts it is, but then it is normally limited to a max of 4 hours, so you'd then be tackling having to move your car to somewhere else!

and yeah.. if you enter at 9am and leave at 10am the next morning, then it would be more than a 24 hour stay...
