How to connect laptop to tv to get sound

I have a dell vostro laptop. To watch videos on my tv I connect the laptop to the tv with a vga cable but this doesn't carry the sound so I have to use the laptops speakers. How can I connect the laptop to the tv and get the sound through the tv?

I've only ever been wrong once! and that was when I thought I was wrong but I was right0 -
I imagine it'll at least have a headphone out. The more pressing concern is what inputs the TV has.0

yes, headphone out on the laptop and the tv has a white L and red R audio input0
