Thank you all for the great ideas. You have given me lots to think about. The paint idea is very good adn one I will definately be taking up. Thank you. I have an American style fridge/freezer but agree that the freezer is a bit small. As I rarely go out I have been thinking of a chest freezer so I can really stock up. Does anyone else have one and can suggest a size. There is only my DH and myself but I Love cooking and having my grandsons to stop over. Thanks again for all the suggestions you are a lifeline to me.may your path be sprinkled with sunshine :A0

OH dear. Just thought, reading the suggestions for under the stairs, I am having all open plan !!!!!!!! Need a big cupboard now to put the cleaner, ironing boart ect ........may your path be sprinkled with sunshine :A0
