Get this instead, much better than the 8800GT.

Here's tomshardware round up for July. If you can afford the slight increase in price over the 8800gt the 4850 is a great card. The 8800gt is still very good though. If you want to save a few quid then consider a 9600gt, very cloae in performance to the 8800gt and a few punds cheaper.

EDIT: Forgot to say if you do go for a 8800GT do NOT get the 256Mb version, it got terrible reviews. You need the 512MB version.
It's my problem, it's my problem
If I feel the need to hide
And it's my problem if I have no friends
And feel I want to die

If you can't shift above £100, which I think is a shame not to wait and get the 4850 for £20 more, then this is probably the best 8800GT you can buy for your budget.

Avoid the 348MB 8800GT, poor card..

well say you want to play cod4/5 wait and save a little more, nvidias new gtx is just round the corner which will be out of your price range put it will dring the price down on other cards because at around the same time ati are bringing there ati 4870x2 out,the war continues

i would say to keep in line with this forum and save money and if you can wait do so,it will only be a month or two to see wants happening
basicly it the wrong time to get a good are has the new prices have not got fully through to retailers yet (they have still got some old stock at the higher price, just like fuel)
and if prices do not move you will have a little more for the next card up ,yes so do not be in a rush just yet to spend your money
there or their, one day i might us the right one ,until then tuff

No seriously, be_alright has the advice spot on.
Get a radeon 4850 card. It may be slightly over budget, but it is a fantastic card, far more powerful than the 8800GT, and will last you a lot longer too.
I have seen the 4850 cards for £109 in places, but obviously at those prices it sells out quickly! Keep an eye on https://www.hotukdeals.com as they get mentioned on there sometimes.
