Can anyone recommend any BR friendly broadband options?

Did you add BB to your TV package after BR? We're currently in dispute with Tiscali and are thinking of changing to Sky, we've had our TV with them for years, just want to add BB.

Hi peachy, we had the broadband added to the package a while before I went bankrupt although they didn't credit check me for it so it might be worth giving them a call?

Dez, can you share the connection?, we have 3 lappies between us with at least 2 online at the same time usually. Also does it work with Xbox 360?

That's good news, I wouldn't have thought they'd need to credit check as we've never missed a payment to them, and we always have the threat of going to Tiscali TV to throw at them;)

Sorry, didn't make myself clear, can you share the connection over the network, so say 2 pc's can be online at the same time with the 1 dongle?

Peachyprice, thats really a question for the geek/nerd board, but the answer is yes.
You'll have to enable 'Internet Connection Sharing' on the pc with the dongle...as long as all computers can see each other across your network, then its pretty easy to setup.
Google for it for further info.

You would have to network the pcs via a hub or router and use one of the pcs with the dongle as the bridge to the internet. Its doable, its how I used to have my set up in the days of old when dial up was the only option.

If your looking just to use two computers you could get a ethernet crossover cable and share the connection that way.Or if your Mac users share it via the wireless cards or bluetooth.

Can I just say that I tried a dongle before I got my landline installed (trying to save BT charge) and the signal was rubbish and I got such bad speeds (I tested it in various locations/different laptops) that I sent it back... I got mine from Vodafone! Just thought I would mention it...
