no court action as yet, these are old debts from a newly failed iva (what happened to the money I did manage to pay into it?),

The first year or mores contributions often goes to pay the providers fees. They normally make sure they get paid, even if your creditors don't.

You could always play the CCA game with them for a while depending on the debts an if it applys

I just wanted to post my sympathy in a sense. Not s long ago we had DCA people on the doorstep, posting notes through the door when they felt like it and generally being a nuisance and although I know logically what I had to do, i.e tell em to get off my property, it didn't stop the fight or flight mechanism from kicking in. I went from feeling happy and doing my exercise dvd to diving behind the sofa and leaving the OH to deal with the DCA....while I trembled like a leaf! I did find though that a strongly worded text message from my OH reiterating that they had been told only to deal with me via letter and until they did so they would get nothing, that they were trespassing and that we would not open the door to them, worked to an extent.

    Hi Phil
thanks for those, yes I am taking advice but am behaving a bit like Mr.A.hitler in the bunker scene in 'Downfall' waiting for the tanks to arrive...just that they won't be MY tanks!

    Almost certainly scare tactics

If you go back to the main board where it lists all of the threads (topics) at the top left hand corner there is this button newthread.gif. If you click it you can start your own thread. Welcome to the board
