Well it wouldn't, as you're allowed to advertise business's on gumtree

I've sold a few things through gumtree, it can be a little slow but baring in mind it's free you cannae complain.
Also it's free to view items for sale, the local freeads paper costs £1.10 and is twice weekly!

Only in the business section not in the things for sale section (only personal sales allowed) check the rules.

http://www.friday-ad.co.uk/ This is Friday Freeads and its free to view online.

I've only bought, never sold, there are huge bargains to be had.

Suffice to say I paid £260.00 for items which cost in excess of £4000.00 which if I were to list on ebay , I would reasonable expect to clear £1500-2000.

So not a good place to sell. Think I'd prefer to pay a few pennies/pounds to list it on ebay and get a grand or four more on the sale value

I paid the price they had asked for the items, no haggling.

The fact they didn't know the value of their items is not my problem.

They were happy with the sale and I was very very pleased:j
