Bitsandpieces the o/p is not interested in trainers training or effort they just want to be able to wear fat flops and become a size 8 overnight while eating mc donalds

Oh shut up!

How do you know she isn't fitter and healthier than you and just wanted to increase her fitness whilst buying something that was funky and caught her eye?

Stop spouting drivel..

OP - I always get awful blisters etc, especially in new shoes, but i'm also having issues with expensive hiking trainers.. :(

Would you be willing to try them for a bit longer and see if they bed in?

Hmmm, sounds like my expectations have been too high, but I have never had two bleeding feet after twenty minutes with any shoes before (even the 4 or 5 inch strappies I've worn on nights out) let alone ones designed for exercise.

Guess I'll just have to put up and shut up.....

FitFlops aren't 'designed for exercise'. they are designed to work your leg muscles more than usual shoes, which is different.

And in my experience, even all-leather shoes will rub at first - i have never had a pair of shoes that didn;t give me blisters/make me bleed for the first few wears.

You just need to wear them in.

• Carebear,

Hello. Chris from FitFlop Ltd here. Firstly, I'm really sorry to hear of your troubles - of course it's not something you'd expect from a shoe, and you're right in that we're famous for our comfort as well as the extra muscle activating properties of the sole. We don't often come across problems like this but of course we take them very seriously.

If you'd like to send an email to info@brandhandling.com with your name, order number, shoe size, etc, I'll ensure we do everything we can to help. That said, I was just about to respond to similar feedback received on our website so you might be getting an email any minute anyway. Would your initials be CT by any chance? Complaints like this stand out because we don't get that many!

Thanks!

Chris

PS. Paulsm - of course they don't instantly work. You don't put them on and lose a stone but then no-one has ever claimed that nor would ever believe that. What FitFlops do is increase muscle activation by about 10-12% as well as activating muscles that aren't used ordinarily. This has the effect of toning up your legs more than if you were to walk the same distance in normal shoes. As with any form of exercise you get out what you put in, FitFlops just giving you an extra helping hand.

They also provide massive comfort to (nearly all!) wearers including sufferers of conditions such as Plantar Fasciitis, Scoliosis, Arthritis, Restless Leg Syndrome and many more. Check out the reviews at https://www.thefitflop.com/why - we publish every review we get - good and bad (though sometimes we need a couple of days to reply personally).
• Carebear - have just emailed you as well.

I got a pair of these a couple of weeks ago and the first couple of times I wore them they didn't really feel comfortable. I was warned by a friend not to put them on and go off walking as I would end up with sore feet. Anyway, I wore them around the house to break them in and now they have to be the most comfortable pair of shoes I own, plus when I take them off my feet feel as if they have benefitted from being supported in the right places. I got the leather ones (I think they might be called ivory).

Chris,
Thanks for taking the time to sign up and post personally. I for one think that is great customer service.

Could you expand on the benefits for people with medical conditions? My husband's mum has a problem with the nerve endings in her legs which causes her pain - might the FitFlops aid with that at all? I am asking in desperation as she really suffers!

Thank you so much for replying. I have responded to your email separately.
Thanks to everyone else who has taken the time to respond to my original post too!

Hello!

Sorry for the delay in getting back to you... I hadn't subscribed to the thread so didn't know anyone had replied.

Whilst FitFlops weren't originally designed with medical conditions in mind, the feedback we've had has been incredible. Day after day we're getting testimonials from people suffering all sorts of conditions who say that thanks to FitFlops they are able to walk pain free, or with reduced pain, for the first time in years. This probably all sounds a bit 'miracle shoe' but this isn't us saying it, it's wearers. If you check out https://www.thefitflop.com/why you can go back through a year's worth of reviews that will illustrate my point (you can also search the site for specific conditions).

I recently started counted the conditions referenced in user testimonials. I only started 3 weeks ago, but I've already collected 'thank you, FitFlop' posts that mention the following:

· Back pain
· Plantar Fasciitis
· Fibromyalgia
· Club foot
· Lyme Disease
· Osteoarthritis
· Hip replacement
· Knee replacement
· Chronic pain
· Degeneration of the spine
· Degeneration of the knee
· Scoliosis
· Curvature of the spine
· Frozen joints
· Fallen Arches
· Cervical fusions
· Cystic Fibrosis
· Achilles tendonitis
· Degenerative disc disease
· Sciatica
· Rheumatoid Arthritis
· Restless Leg Syndrome
· Ankylosing spondylitis
· Bechterew disease
Not bad!

I couldn't answer with specific regard to your husband's man because I'm in no way a Dr, but it might well be worth a try. The only advice I'd give is to wear them around the house to see if she likes them first. It's a lot harder to exchange or refund items once they've been worn outside the house.

I hope that helps.

I just wanted to say I bought a pair of these, not to lose a stone overnight, but to try and get a pair of comfy all day sandals. The first few times they were uncomfortable, and made my calf muscles ache (as mentioned in the literature) now, would not be without them. The most comfortable sandals I have ever worn, and they have reduced my restless legs syndrome - and I live in them.
