Changes to Boots Health Insurance Gym membership

This morning I opened my webmail to find an email from boots/pru telling me that they are changing the terms for the 'free' gym membership from November 2008. Rather than it being based on how often you go, they are now changing it to what your vitality status is. As a result I will have to pay £38 on top of my premium to qualify for the gym membership.
Can they change the terms like this? Do I have a right to cancel?
Thanks Guys.
