After the uprising of the 17th June The Secretary of the Writers Union
Had leaflets distributed in the Stalinallee Stating that the people
Had forfeited the confidence of the government And could win it back only
By redoubled efforts. Would it not be easier In that case for the government
    To dissolve the people
    And elect another?

We always put rads on the outside walls and under windows. That way, the room heats up evenly and there aren't any cold spots in the room.

My DS and DIL had their rads put in a similar position to you, (although they don't have patio doors in the same position) and in winter, the window side, even though the windows are dble glazed, is really cold. They really do regret having them put in the position they are in.

We have a concrete floor right through and most of the downstairs rads are fed from pipes dropped down from upstairs alongside the window frames within trunking, so the curtains cover the ugliness very successfully.
