Thanks ever so much for this information - I'm so pleased.
I think it's ace of the supermarkets to wait till Gordy and Darling boy said they wouldn't be taking the 2p extra in October !!!
Was this a cunning plan do you think?

Doh!!! i filled up £20 on Monday, just my luck.0

Ha ! Filled up at Tesco last night using the 5p off a litre - which brought it down from £118.9 a litre to £113.9!! If I had waited........but never mind, will need to fill up again next week
Thanks for the info anyway, now I won't rush into the first garage I see with the 'lower' price and think I've got a special bargain.:rolleyes:0 -
Tesco also lowering 4p and you can still use the 5p vouchers so a 9p a litre saving0

Following info for Tesco only
Don't forget if you have the money off vouchers from clubcard (EG: £1, £2, £3, £4, £5, £6, etc off a specified spend) these can also be used for petrol provided it does not exclude it on the back (recent ones have only excluded Esso Fuels which largely means you can only use them at petrol stations attached to superstores and not the express ones).
Does work have done it recently with £6 off a £40 spend on petrol had to stand my ground though and get the checkout operator to try it and to their surprise it worked.I started with nothing and I am proud to say I still have most of it left.0 -
Where did you get the vouchers from?0

As it says in my post they are from Clubcard and come through the post to "selected" customers. many have had them in varying amounts. I think my £6 off £40 spend might have been the best one. Most of mine were £4 off £40 spend.
There is a thread about them around here some where.I started with nothing and I am proud to say I still have most of it left.0 -
