Fabric Roller Blind Problems

Hi, I hope I have got the right forum for this, this is my first time here:o
I recently purchased 3 Fabric roller blinds from a local Blind manufacturer, I purchased 2 at First, then 1 month later I bought another, On installing the blinds all appeared to be fine, but recently I have noticed small pieces of alumimium collecting on the window sills under the blinds.
On closer inspection it appears that this is somehow coming off the blind, it looks as though these bits have got stuck on the fabric during manufacturing (ie: aluminium blinds cut too close to the fabric) or that they are coming off the aluminium bar the the roller is attatched to, the pieces vary in size some are small and some more dense and sharp.
I was wondering if anyone else has encountered this problem with any blinds they have ever purchased? I have tried vaccumming one of the blinds and the bits are still coming off the blind. I am thinking of getting in touch with the company as I'm not too pleased and it could be abit of a health hazard.
