I am a bit confused, i have tried to transfer money off my MBNA platinum card (due to them increasing my interest rate to 34% after a late payment!) I have tried to transfer it to my Barclaycard and been told they don't accept transfers from this lender, had the same problem with my Tesco credit card and my Halifax One card. I've even applied for and been sent a new lloyds tsb platinum card just so i could transfer the balance and had the same problem with them!!!
Is this normal? Do MBNA have some kind of deal with other lenders so that you can't move your money off their ridiculously expensive card!? MBNA also keep increasing my limit every month and sending me cheques with BT offers so i can't understand why they've put my interest rate so high!
Any advice would be appreciated because the interest on my MBNA card is approaching £150 a month and i feel like it could spiral out of control!!!

Can't speak for the others, but Halifax have long had a problem with online BT requests from MBNA cards (and also Egg cards).
However, I understand telephone requests are actioned OK. Have you tried Halifax via the 'phone?0
