Bored with same old weeks, need ideas.

I'm getting bored with eating the same foods on a weekly basis and wondered if people knew of places where you can get some weekly lists to make food interesting.

At the moment I tend to do 3/4 days as meat and veg, 2 days pasta and a day of something else, but with food getting so expensive and boring of eating the same foods, It would be nice to try and plan a week that is a little different or has some interesting ideas for it.

I don't know where you can get lists but try searching this forum with 'recipes' I've had luck there when after inspiration.biggrin.gif

Perhaps if you gave us a clearer idea of what you eat now and for how many we could give you some ideas.

How about a themed week of Indian or Chinese or Italian or North African or 'whatever area takes your fancy' meals for a whole 7 days. That's a challenge I've been contemplating for while.

There's usually a weekly meal plan thread where everyone posts their own week's meals.

I usually look at that for ideas and meals I've forgotten about ;)

OK, well, I eat meat less often anyway because of the price of it (I will ony eat 'ethical' meat so choose to eat less meat than more cheap meat). so that saves money! For both money saving and variety learning to eat seasonally helps:D That way the veg and produce are changing through the year anyway...for example, I'm realy looking forward to mussels.....in september, I can get them now  but they are not really in season.

rather than list ideas which you may or may not like I reckon that by doing the seasonal eating you can already look at a bit of variety. free recipe cards in the supermarket ae often a clue as to whats really in season...along with the produce price! And the recipe are sometimes good too, potherwise they are a good starting point for your own ideas/favourite recipes.

What about a twist on what you already eat-

*If you have chicken do it a different way- say lemon chicken and rice, sticky chicken, paella with chicken

Mince - moussaka, chili con carne, chili and cheese potato skins

Pork - Pork chops with apple and sage crust, pork and red pepper meatballs

Hope this helps,or check out any recipe ingredients online with pictures I find helps.

I have been more inventive and adventurous since starting the grocery challenge.
