Hi Guys!
Another week has flown past...where is this year going?????
We are away from Saturday for a week but have devised a mealplan for when we are away with some treats/luxuries:-
Thursday-Ham Omelette (using up whats in fridge)
Friday-Fish & Chips (OH's treat & no washing up)
Saturday-Chicken, Salad & Baked Spud (Away-Doing shop locally)
Sunday-Out for Carvary (Mum & Dad's treat:j )
Monday-Steak, Chips & Salad (Local butcher is excellent where we are staying)
Tuesday-HM Lasagna & Salad (Taking all sauces/pasta etc with us)
Wednesday-Gammon, New Pots, Peas & Sweetcorn (Tinned pots & Veg being taken)
Thursday-Out for dinner
Friday-Bean On Toast (Home today, so easy food)
I am being very good in that I am taking ALL non-perishables with us and just buying fresh stuff locally. They have a Sainsburys and a Waitrose local so will decide when we get there. I have £5 in vouchers so may be easier at Waitrose.
The local butcher does the tastiest Sirloin and will cost about £12 for all 3 of us to have a good size each and will cook at the lodge. Will buy some oven chips and onion rings etc to go with it and with have salad etc in the fridge. This is expensive but cheaper than going out and we are on holiday.
I have budgeted £75 for food which is loads more to what we usually spend but just want to go away and not worry. OH is taking beer and wine so nothing to spend there.
Can someone start next weeks thread for me as I wont be around please?
Take care guys and have a great week.
PP
