Ok here goes my first post on this board....I'm trying to plan meals ahead now as I am going into hospital on Wed for a hysterectomy and have been batch cooking and freezing. Ex-OH is moving back in for a week to look after me and the kids and his idea of food is...Chinese, Indian, McDonalds, KFC etc etc

If its all planned he cant phone for takeaways !

    Mon - Spaghetti Carbonara, homemade
Tues - Chicken Korma and lemon rice
Wed - Butchers Sausages, cheese and chive mash and steamed mixed veg
Thurs - Salads: Grated Cheese for daughter, mixed deli meats for son, chicken ceasar for me
Fri: Salmon roast, new potatoes in lemon and chive butter, roasted mixed meditteranean vegetables (peppers, courgettes, red onions)
Sat: HM Chilli and Nachos with salsa and melted cheese and HM guacamole
Sun: Roast pork with all the trimmings (won the joint of meat at the local club meat draw !)

We don't eat a lot of puddings but I have just made an Orange marmalade bread and butter pudding which will be used up over about 2 days or so, and we love smoothies so I buy gluts of cheap fruits to use, bung in a few ice cubes into the blender and what ever fruits take your fancy, ie, banana, peach and stawberry, pear, kiwi and pineapple, etc.
Tinned or frozen fruit works as well too, just thin down with a little apple juice or water....yummy x

I don't want to go shopping for anything but fruit until the end of the month.

Here is my menu until Thursday for this week.

    Monday
    Salmon and salad

    Tuesday
    Beans and rice with salad

    Wednesday
H/M gnocchi with H/M pesto sauce with spinach and broccoli.

    Thursday
    Sardines and Rice with veggies

I'm not really a pudding person, I like the occasional cake, but I can't make them and have them in the house as I live alone and will eat them all at once. I've already devoured some hm bread today just because it was there! I almost wish I didn't learn how to make it now!
Getting there... A deal at a time. :T

    Mon Homemade Burgers
Tues Morrocan Lamb and Pepper couscous
    Wed Sausage Casserole and Mash
    Thur Spicy Spaghetti with chorizo
    Fri Vegetable Curry and Rice
Sat Slow cooked Pot Roast of Beef with roast potatoes and veg
Sun Cottage pie (with the beef and leftover veg)

I should probably say it's all home made - no packet sauces etc.

I could make it better myself at home. All I need is a small aubergine...

I moved to Liverpool for a better life.
And goodness, it's turned out to be better and busier!
