Returned goods scam?

I recently sold an item on ebay which the buyer was unhappy with, probably stupidly, i returned a cheque to the buyer with return address details for the goods, however, I have never received the returned goods.

The cheque i sent has not yet been cashed. Am i just being cynical or wd it be a good idea to stop the cheque assuming that i've been duped?

Have already left feedback praising prompt payment etc so cant' leave any more.

Any ideas???

What are the time scales? Personally I would stop the cheque but that might cost you more than its worth. Always ask for return of goods before refunding payment. Always find out why they want a refund.

I recently had sold a kilt jacket and the GIRL who bought it said it didn't fit thats when I discovered she was a she and not a he. Declined refund but told her to feel free to use my very accurate listing!!

If you assume the cheque has been lost in the post, you will normally not be charged for stopping it for that reason. I presume it has been some time since you sent the cheque.
