A+L DD charge when I had enough money in account to pay DD

On Thursday I had £15.73 left in my account. I had a DD of £10.99 come out. Before the money going to the DD, A+L charged me £25 for payment review- item paid fee, which took my over my overdraft limit. Surely they shouldnt have charged me the £25 when I had enough money to pay the DD and I had no other outgoings until after my pay went through? I sent them a message on Friday asking them why they had taken it and asking them to refund the £25 and cancel any other charges due because of going over OD limit. Gave them 7 days to respond but nothing yet. Im so impatient.lol.

You need CLEARED funds in your account the day before the DD is paid.

Did you have AT LEAST £10.99 of cleared funds in there, or was some of the £15.73 made up of cheques waiting to clear/cleared that day or money you had transferred in which had arrived that day?

Have you made a debit card payment of £5.91?

I've had debit card transactions appear twice on my online statement before now. The second one can take up to a week or so to fall off.

If this is the case, you (technically) only had £9.82 available when the £10.99 DD was presented.

Please post back with the reason once A&L get back to you.
