Denied a balance transfer from Barclaycard

hi

i spoke to barclaycard to transfer my balance onto their card and they had told me that i cant do this. Is there any reason for this? ive not missed any payments or anything.

Where is the BT coming from?

Store Cards cannot be BT'd

Barclaycard may not BT to bank accounts on loan accounts.

I think they kicked up a fuss about Abbey cards saying they are foreign.

Are you trying to BT more than 90% of your available credit?

Do the terms and cons of your card exclude this feature on your account?

ive done a BT on there before, but they arent even taking details to do the BT they are just declining it straight out.

Barclaycard do have the right to decline a Balance Transfer on your account, and there have been other reports of this on these boards.

The general impression is that they are trying to reduce their overall exposure to risk with some people having their Credit Limits drastically reduced.
