Bathroom lighting

does any one know a good resouce for regs relating to bathoom fittings? and what we can specify where? Looking for some downlighters for a shower/wet room area.

    You might also want to consider whether you need to protect the void (e.g. loft) above the downlighters, in which case read this thread.

    you dont need fire rated downlights if you only have a loft above bathroom
    generally 12v downlights are fine

  • Thanks guys. I should have perhaps explaine dthat the wetroom/bathroom is downstairs and there is a bedroom above with a large void between the floors. However, getting an acoustic/fire rated fitting should help cut down the noise transmission to the upper bedroom. Great info - thanks !
  • Does anyone know where to get lights from that can sit in zone 1 directly over a shower?? Or led lights??
