New laptop but can't get it to connect to wireless router

Options
I have bought a new laptop (acer aspire 5920 15" vista notebook) and am trying to get my new Sky wireless broadband to link to it.

Using the ethernet conneciton is fine but obviuously would like to get the wireless working as well

The computer is picking up the wireless network but will not connect to it - I have the network key and SSID but every time I try to connect I get the error:

"Windows is trying a repair but the problem still exists. The wireless security settings on this computer do not match the settings on sky*****"

Can anyone help me?

On the missus' Acer there's a wireless button you need to switch to activate the wireless...?
