private gardens open to the public help

Whilst waiting in the chinese for my take away the other evening i was flicking through a gardening mag, i think it was called amateur gardener or something like that, i dont even know if it was a recent copy, but in there they showed this gorgeous garden in bedfordshire somewhere, the couple had used a lot of recycled materials and had a huge pond. If anyone has a copy of the mag can they tell me where the garden is or if the couple have a web site.
