Things to do with baby

Hi,
I've got 2 and a half months of maternity leave left to spend with my little boy who's 6 months old, and we seem to have come to a stalemate of things to do.
We can't do anything expensive.
I'm carless during the day.
We don't live within walking distance of any nice parks.
Any suggestions please?

paddling pool in the garden
colouring or paints in the garden (if brave enough!)
6months do not have to be entertained all the time - they just like to explore and get into everything.
Have you joined the local parent and toddler group? Cup of tea and a cake is great with a chat!0 -
I believe there as a similar thread recently about this.
If you have nice weather, can you sit in the garden and have a pinic or something?0 -

wel i have twin boys aged 6 months and a 3 yr old.
too pas the time duing long days as they are all up and rearing too go at 5am!
we do brekie and get them dressed blah blah blah.
then its just a case of attempting to keep them somewhat ocupied. which is not always easy!
the eldest likes his toys but gets jelous, so we play together alot.:grouphug:
try getting some new bits and bobs or even make things sock puppets !!!
maybe get some libary books, and start reading to him, plus the libary has 'lend toys' which is a reat idea as its only about 50p for 3 weeks! and that roughly when thy get bored, its great for mine, plus saves me a fortune!:money:
ike someone else said, find groups, toddler gys etc etc, they usualy have loads of ladies that feel just like you, and they arrange trips out etc.
just google your areas facilities i have just joined as i was getting cabin fever!! and in 4 weeks we have been to 2 zoos and 2 big parks!
its worth looking in too.:j
apart from that i do not know what else to suggest lol
thats about all i do, its is tedious but as he gets older it becomes easier as he will be able too entertain himself so you can sit back with a brew and a magazine and entertain yourself!!
my twins are so demanding, its awful, i have each in a sling on each him, honestly i look like a blooming bag ladie, the looks i get are so funny!
hope this helps you abitthought i would join in-
