Virgin Vie Horrible (maggots) Freebie!!

Hi there im not sure if this is the right place to post but here goes...

I like many of you won on the virgin vie game, i won 3 items one of which was a voucher which i used but i did pay postage.

But in one of my freebies which was some earings, in the bottom of the box was two alive maggots!! (im not sure if they were maggots there were about 1inch long creamy orange colour and had stripes on them... maybe baby caterpillas?)

Anyway i phoned them just to get an apology, ive had nothing back over email. i did take photos. but i was just wondering.. should i settle with this or carry it on further..?

Kindest Regards

Lucy

They should do more than apologise live creatures in your post is dangerous they could carry any kind of diseases, and could be from any country and be highly dangerous. Id take it further you couldve had a tropical poisonous spider in there and they wouldntve noticed.

    Stripy sounds a bit dangerous.

Oh dear - I won a pair of these and have sent ds1 (6) into school today with a card for his lovely teacher and a pressie which included the earrings which I hadn't opened as I know what they were and they were so nicely boxed!!!!!!

OMG - I'm hoping we haven't also won the maggots!!

OMG keep complaining I once complained to hipp organic because I thought there was rust on the lid... they sent me vouchers to replace the jar and a bag to send it off... it turned out to be dried food oops lol but they still sent me £15 of hipp vouchers for my trouble lovely company pleasure to deal with and good to be taken seriously... UNLIKE YOUR EXPERIENCE! I'm sure there is a law suit in there some where hehe keep at it good luck!

Snotty might be unfair, since it was a free gift!, but something informative is certainly in order... the company may well be interested in investigating its shipping policy!

The main reason I complain to Supermarkets when I find strange organisms in my food is that they can take it back to their suppliers and find / destroy the root cause.
